Alone Together

This is a large framed canvas painted from life in my studio. It would look wonderful on a dark wall in a large home. It's a high contrast painting with flashes of blue, purple, orange and white across the predominantly chocolate-brown base. The frame - not pictured yet is a wooden tray frame hand painted by the artist in a neutral light grey. It is approximately 91 cm square and 4 inches deep. This is a dramatic painting with elements of light and bright colours over predominantly chocolate and purple ground. It is a high-contrast painting that would look wonderful on a dark wall in a large home. There's a hint of the eclectics of a family home and its history in the choice of objects in the painting set in the artist's studio. It may not be on display at Manchester initially but do ask if you would like to see it. The top and left-hand edges are painted in the same orange as the painting, the other two sides are a deep burgundy purple. A dramatic, striking piece with an experimental approach. The pot featured is one of Gabriella Buckingham's ceramic pieces created in the 1990s.
