Framed size 43 x 55cm. ***Special EASEL price for both Showgirl I & II - as shown at Manchester Art Fair 2022*** This series evolved from looking at mythical and exotic brids, to looking at feathers of a different kind. Influenced by costume designers such as William Travilla and Bob Mackie, the new works for 2021 - 'Showgirl I & II' being the first - are inspired by the flamboyant colours of the feather-clad showgirl, in all her manifestations: Hollywood films, in burlesque shows and drag bars. Each piece aims to capture a sense of glamour and colour in motion - while radiating feminine power.
