Traditional patterns, ornaments and symbols and forgotten images are the materials of the artists compositions, he describes his works as a monologue of the soul. The carpets the artists paints are traditionally woven by women and placed on the ground for people to walk on. Matteo subverts this visual by creating vertical artworks; celebrating women. His juxtaposition of traditional art and contemporary practice provide a platform connecting history, cultures and ideas.

From a small limited edition of 30, printed onto 330gsm Somerset Enhanced Velvet paper, the piece is signed and numbered by the artist.
