Felicity Meachem is a contemporary British artist. Her paintings are infused with an overload of pattern and images sourced from different cultures which define the subject matter in her paintings. Her influences are as diverse as Japanese Kimonos, African Dutch wax prints to Ancient Paracas textiles. Through a painterly fusion of pattern, she aspires to create a utopian world where all cultures can live in harmony. Meachem’s paintings seek to investigate the complex internationalism of pattern as part of the cultural fabric of our lives.
