Road map of central Amsterdam, cut by hand from a sheet of 160gsm textured paper using scalpel blades. Designed and hand cut by Rachel Filmer in 2021. Each map is unique, and is dated and initialled on the reverse. Cut area measures approximately 20x20cm. Supplied unframed, in a mount to fit a 12x12” (30cm) frame, with a grey backing sheet. We recommend framing in a deep box frame or acrylic stand-off wall frame to enable the piece to cast shadows. All maps can be supplied framed, most frames are made to order - please enquire for costs. Cut Scenes offer a range of hand-cut maps and generative line art drawings. Commissions are welcomed.
