Manchester Skyline 2018

The new Manchester Skyline was completed in autumn 2018 and replaces an earlier version of the skyline completed about 10 years ago. This new version is drawn from commissioned photographs taken at Exchange Quay, Salford Quays, looking east towards central Manchester and Salford. The final artwork combines hand-drawing, watercolour and some digital edits. Limited-edition fine-art signed print of a 25 print edition; professionally printed by a Manchester-based fine-art printer. This edition is a Giclee Print (Archival Quality Paper) on textured fine art stock. Size of print is approx. 85 x 40cm. High quality, hand-made mounting and framing available on request. Unframed price includes postage, and the print will be posted in a cardboard tube. Please allow 5-7 days for printing. Simone is a senior lecturer at Manchester School of Art and founder of Urban Sketchers Manchester. Her elegant drawing style is very much about the value of pen, pencil and watercolour in the communication of space and buildings. Simone has an international profile through her work with Urban Sketchers and she teaches drawing workshops specialising in the understanding of perspective. Illustration clients include MIF, Manchester City Council, Marketing Manchester, Manchester Metropolitan University and Virgin Atlantic Airways. Her work has been featured in the Observer News Review and on The Guardian website and she recently collaborated on publicised art campaigns with Winsor & Newton and derwent.
