Each oil painting is original and painted by me in my UK studio using quality materials. They make a great gift or piece of wall art for your home. I work in layers, creating an expressive portrait with depth and interest, working to create a likeness and finished portrait you are happy with. It’s lovely to look back on an image or moment in time which has been beautifully captured and preserved in art form. TURNAROUND TIME Once your requirements have been confirmed, your painting will be completed in 1-2 weeks (usually 1) and I prefer to wait another week or two until the painting is dry before shipping to avoid any damage or potential smudging. Please get in touch before ordering if you need your painting sooner so I can ensure I will meet your deadline. REFERENCE PHOTOS I am happy to receive a good selection of photos to help me get a sense of the person I’ll be painting and to see them from different angles. However, in order to capture an accurate likeness I will need images which have good lighting and are large or zoomed in enough to allow me to see smaller features and colouring clearly. If in doubt, just send it over and I can let you know you if it can work. Sometimes the best option is to take a new version of a picture you already had in mind. Again, I’m more than happy to give guidance here.
